I don’t know about you, but I think everyone needs a reading nook.
I watched a YouTube video the other day on how to redecorate a room without spending any money. The young lady on the video was helping out her sister and college roommate with her skills. They lived in a small apartment that needed some organization and better layout in the living area. With a good cleaning, and better placement of art and furniture, the results were amazing.
Of course she made her sister a reading nook by a window, so I took inspiration from her and decided— yes, everyone needs a reading nook.
As always, shop your house for side tables, floral arrangements, lamps, candles, and art. You need the side table for books, eyeglasses, drinks, and reading material. Keep everything organized and as uncluttered as possible. Place your items close so you can turn your lamp on and off, and reach your books, drinks, and eyeglasses — without moving from your chair.
I was very happy with how mine turned out and could hardly wait to use it. It only took a few minutes to do. I moved some of the other furniture around in the room and it all looked so much better, my whole family was impressed. Sometimes it’s the small, simple things you can do in just a few minutes that bring the most joy.
